How is Lamb different than Bacon in his prose writing style?

The different writing styles of  Lamb and Bacon:

Francis Bacon is considered as the father of English essays. The writing style of Francis Bacon is highly impersonal, aphoristic didactic, paradoxical and rhetoric. Charles lamb has been referred to as the prince among English essayists. Charles lamb was a famous English essayist and critic; his writing style is highly personal, symbolic and full of descriptions.

Charles lamb is highly personal in his essays while Bacon is non-personal in his essays. Lamb uses personal pronouns often like, "I have kindly Yarning towards dim specs, poor blots, innocent blackness." (In praise of chimney sweepers)

Illusions are used by both writers but Francis Bacon uses illusion to support his argument while Charles Lamb uses this to maintain flow in his essays.

There is no touch or use of poetry in the essays of Bacon but Charles lamb used poetry in many of his essays.

In the praise of chimney-sweepers, he says,

"Golden lads and lasses must,

A chimney sweepers come to dust."

Francis Bacon does not talk about his relatives for memories from the past while Charles Lamb discusses about his relatives and nostalgic feeling in his essays. In Dream Children: A Reverie, he talked about his grandmother and his brother John L.

The style of Francis Bacon is didactic and give an important suggestion by following his utilitarian approach. On the other hand, Charles Lamb gives suggestions from his personal experience. For example, he suggests donating money to chimney sweepers when you happen to meet them.

It can be said that both are different in their approach to writing essays. One writer is personal (lamb) while the other is non-personal (Bacon). however, the message is successfully conveyed by both the essayist and their essays.
