What is the purpose of literature review.

 Purpose of reviewing literature review:

Literature review or review in literature is a crucial step in research there are many advantages of review and literature which are given below.


  1. Reviewing literature helps the researcher to develop background information. The research learns about the concept theory and problems related to his topic. The researcher also gets the idea about the previous research is conducted in that area.

  2.  The research is able to find gaps and difficulties related to his area of study. The researcher is able to notice trends followed by other researchers while conducting research.

  3.  Review in literature also helps the researcher to find gaps in his area of study. Also helps the researcher to develop a research question into a more specific problem statement.

  4. The research also notices the methodologies used in his area of study. The researchers also get information about the research design.

  5.  Review literature shows the credibility of the researcher it means that the researcher has done some study related to this topic that makes his research more credible and acceptable.

 Hence it can be said that there are advantages of reviewing literature like background information, research gaps and methodology. It is beneficial for the researcher to review the literature in many ways.
